A **general contractor (GC)** is the lead professional responsible for managing every aspect of a construction project. From planning and budgeting to scheduling and execution, we serve as the central hub that connects architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and most importantly—**you, the client**. At **GSD Construction**, our role goes beyond coordination. We're problem solvers, risk managers, and your boots-on-the-ground partner who ensures your vision comes to life without the headaches. --- ### Our Key Responsibilities   #### 1. **Pre-Construction Planning** The success of your project starts long before construction begins. During the pre-construction phase, we: - Develop realistic budgets and schedules - Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities - Collaborate with architects and engineers to streamline the design - Navigate permits and local Houston building codes   #### 2. **Hiring & Managing Subcontractors** Houston is full of talented trade partners—and we know who delivers. We hire, schedule, and manage trusted subcontractors who align with our quality standards, safety practices, and timeline expectations.   #### 3. **Jobsite Coordination & Supervision** We oversee every day of your build. From pouring concrete to final inspections, our field team monitors progress, quality, and safety to ensure the job stays on track.   #### 4. **Budget Control & Scheduling** Our team manages costs and timelines with precision. Using advanced tools and real-time updates, we help you make decisions confidently and avoid surprises.   #### 5. **Client Communication** We keep you informed with consistent updates, meetings, and documentation. Our transparent process means no guessing—just clear answers and real-time accountability.   --- ### Why It Matters: Protecting Your Project & Your Investment Hiring a qualified Houston general contractor like GSD means: - **Fewer delays** - **Better budget alignment** - **Higher construction quality** - **Stronger communication and accountability** - **Fewer surprises along the way** We don't just build—**we build with purpose**.
